West Indies captain Darren Sammy scored 41 to lead his regional side Windward Islands to an upset victory over defending champions Trinidad and Tobago on the opening day of the Caribbean Twenty20 championship. Sammy struck two fours and two sixes in his unbeaten stand Monday that spurred the Windwards to 129-4 off 20 overs.
