Caribbean Sea to be designated ‘Special Area’

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados (CMC) — The Caribbean Sea will from May 1 next year be designated a “Special Area” under provisions of the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships (MARPOL), a senior Barbados government minister has said.
